The mission of the A. Marie Cares Foundation is to provide comprehensive, life-saving social services to underserved, marginalized, at-risk youth. Using data driven models, and nationally renowned, evidenced based interventions, we lift marginalized youth from poverty to productive lives. We are currently providing services in: Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia, New York City, New Jersey and Florida.

The A. Marie Cares Foundation Team has been providing social services to the most marginalized youth and their families for more than two decades. Our clinical team provides comprehensive case management, mental health & substance abuse counseling, mentoring, vocational training ,clothing, food, housing and medical referrals.

The A. Marie Cares Foundation was founded by Dr. Ashawnda Fleming. Dr. Fleming possesses more than twenty years of nonprofit management experience. Dr. Fleming has served as the Chief Executive Officer of the American Psychological Foundation and the Executive Director of the Hetrick Martin Institute New Jersey.
